Insurance Player Returns To The Root, Promises To Support Players’ Welfare

Bendel Insurance player, George Promise has promised to support his boyhood club, Samjason Football Club of Igando.

Promised disclosed this at the George and his Friends against Samjason Football Club in a novelty match held recently at the Egan Grammar School, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.

Promise who featured throughout the novelty game explained that the essence of the game is to give back to his club where he started his football career.

“I feel happy to play with my grassroots club.Samjason is the club i started my football career years ago and it is good to be in the midst of my colleagues again.Aside the novelty match, i will reward the team financially if they win their high profile football competitions or matches.Also i would continue to support the club within my own little way so that they can feel my impact in the club,”he said.

Commenting on his performance in the novelty match, Promise disclosed that his performance was quite good saying that he was happy to have scored only goal that beat their opponents.

“I am ok and better.The game ended in 1-0 in our own favour.We got the penalty towards the game and i stepped out to convert the kick which gave us the victory.Honestly it was a tough novelty game which all the fans enjoyed to watch,”he said.

Meanwhile Promise had played in Sudan League and featured in Ekiti United and presently playing for Insurance, a premier league club.
