The theme for the 2025 Imo State University Alumni Association (IMSUAA) Convention which holds from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th August, 2025 has been officially unveiled through an official statement jointly signed by the National Organizing Secretary, Daphine Amanze and National Publicity Secretary, Sinikiem Ayoko, and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.
This year’s National Convention/Homecoming, which is the 8th edition of IMSUAA Convention and tagged “Heartland 2025” will explore the theme: “Reunion & Renewal: Strengthening Ties, Advancing Together”.
While unveiling the theme which is geared towards strengthening togetherness of members across the country, the statement further reads that details of the programme for the 4 days impactful event will be rolled out soon.
Reacting to the theme which was unveiled yesterday, Lagos-based musician, La-Ghost, who is also one of the musicians expected to perform during the 4-days event described the theme as a powerful motivator for musical artist to reflect on past experiences. She further added that the theme will aid to rekindle collaboration and also explore new creative directions.
In area of effect of the theme on musical performance, the lanky pretty artist who is looking up to be part of this homecoming said it will embrace renewal by experimenting with new styles, techniques leading to artistic music evolution in the Heartland state. She however summarizes that the Convention is an opportunity for meaningful reintegration into the art form while fueling innovation and deeper connection that will elevate artists’ performance.
Meanwhile, the Deputy National Organizing Secretary, Dennisamaflex , on Thursday released a Countdown to the Convention, which had 13 Bullet-point on why every Imo Star needs to be in attendance when the event begins in two months time.
