It is a new dawn for football development as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially recognised and ratified the contentious October 2020 elections that brought in ex-Nigeria international Chikelue Iloenyosi as the the Chairman of Anambra State Football Association.
In a swift reaction to the NFF letter of ratification and recognition signed by the Assistant Secretary of the NFF Electoral Committee, Barrister Onoja Joshua, the leadership of Ekiti State Football Association, has congratulated the Anambra State FA led by Chikelue Iloenyosi.
In the congratulatory message, Chairman of Ekiti State Football Association, Bayo Olanlege, described the new development as a way forward for football development in Nigeria, particularly at this time that the players union is agitating for more representation in the NFF Congress and particularly, by the Anambra State Football Association in view of the delibitating effects the hitherto misgivings on Iloenyosi’s election have had on the growth of football in the state.
He went on to advise stakeholders and enthusiasts of Nigerian football to rally ranks and be selfless in the pursuits of a better Nigerian football.
