Sunshine Football Club on Friday booked a place in the final following the victory recorded in the first semifinal of the ongoing Kudus Kasali Ileya Football Tournament.
Sunshine defeated Wolves FC 4-2 on penalties after barren draw at the full time.The pulsating tie held at the Sansan playground, Igando, Lagos.
The two teams entertained the fans with good football display as many scoring chances were missed during the encounter.
The second semi final would hold tomorrow(Sunday) between Future Star 99 FC and Ologbonla FC by 4pm.
Match Cordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi expressed satisfaction with the standard of play and officiating of the first semi final match.
He also commended both teams for their good performance and congratulated Sunshine FC for reaching the final stage.
“It was a good semifinal match, and the two teams play good football unfortunately one team have to be in final. We are looking forward to the second semifinal which i believe it is going to be another tough match and i wish both teams best of luck,” he said.
