The race for the qualifications to the final in group B of the ongoing Ikorodu Super 8 Youth League would be decided this Sunday by 2pm at Imota Secondary School, Imota, Ikorodu, Lagos.
Eight teams have qualified for the super 8 of the league.The eight teams were divided into two groups but attention would be shifted to group B as Paparazzi and Prinhous Academy would face each other to decide who top their group.
A winners in each group would play in the super 8 final to decide the overall winners of the league whick kicked off a month ago before reaching the super 8.
According to the group B table, Paparazzi have six points after playing two matches, while Prinhous have four points on the table.
A draw or win for Paparazzi would top them the group and qualify for the final, while a victory for Prinhous would guarantee them a group leader and qualify for the final.
In group A, two teams would also fight for the final ticket as both of them have four points on the table.A match between Simario and Infinite Academy on Saturday by 10am would be another cracker at Imota centre.
A win from either team would guarantee them a place in the final, while a draw for both teams would give them five points and if Adosag that are in third position on the table with two points beat Deluxe Academy with a wide margin, Adosag might qualify.
As it is in group A, three teams have equal chance to qualify for the final but Infinite and Simario who have 8 and 7 goals respectively on the table stand the better chance to top the group, while Adosag have mathematical chance to emerge as winners too with their two goals in two matches.
In other matches, Adosag battle Deluxe by 12noon, while Ayomiposi face Kareem Academy by 2pm on Saturday.
Match cordinator, Kehinde Adeyemi said it would be a battle to the finish for the teams who stand to qualify for the final and described the super 8 a tough one for all the teams.
He however urged them to always abide by the rules in their last match saying that any team forment trouble during and after the match would be punished severely.
