Head coach of Samjason Football Club, Alfred Unoke has commended his players for their impressive performance against Fut-Pro Football Academy in the ongoing Ikeja Divisional Football Super League.
Samjason demolished their oppenents, Fut-Pro Academy 4-0 to brighten their chances of reaching super four.
The encounter held on Wednesday evening at the Egan Grammar School, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
Speaking after the match, Unoke expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance saying that the victory was well deserved.
“My boys were at their best against their opponents and i am happy that they played to instructions which gave us the victory. We would continue in his form to win our remaining matches to know if we can make it super four at the end of the league,” he said.
In his response Fut pro Academy coach, Abdullahi Osinowo attributed their defeat as result of some key players who were absent for the encounter.
“We are not with our key players because some of them are writing their exam papers, while some of them could not make it for one reason or the other.It was not a bad match for us and we would go back home and prepare for our remaining matches,” he said.
Taiwo Arowosegbe scored the brace for home team before Mighty Lethe and Kiishi Oladimeji recorded one goal each for Samjason to confirm their supremacy over the oppenents.
Arowosegbe who scored the two goals in the encounter said his best is yet to come and warned their next opponents to prepare for tough game.
He however commended his teammates for their doggedness and fighting spirit showed in the game saying that the victory was well deserved.
