Ikeja DFA Super 4: Magboro Coach Laments Team’s Loss Against Bucknor

Assistant coach of Magboro Football Club, Festus Felix has expressed disappointment following his team’s 0-2 defeat against Bucknor FC in the Ikeja DFA Super 4 taking place at the Alade Sport center, Ipaja command, Alimosho, Lagos.

Felix who was shocked over team’s loss blamed his players for not taking their chances, saying that the game was won by the better side.

“We created many scoring chances unfortunately none of them was converted.We dearly paid for our missed scoring chances and I must confess that our opponents deserved the victory because they created some scoring chances and converted it,” he said.

Despite the loss, Magboro gaffer still believes that his team can still win the tournament and urged his players to approach their next game like a cup final.

“We are in very critical situation now and we need to win our remaining matches if we want to win the league.The boys are not happy and they are ready to bounce back in their next game,” he said.

In his own comment, team manager of Bucknor Football Club, Habeeb Abidemi expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the match and admonished the players to remain focused in their next game.

“It was a good start for us and the players still need to remain focused in their next game.The boys were better and i still believe that they can do better in their next game,”he said.

Action resumes on Tuesday as G Innovation battle Bucknor as Shuffle Select take on Magboro FC.
