Olorunsogo football team hitman, Adeolu Akande was on song after he scored hattrick which earned his team to reach the quarter final stage.
In the the round of 16 of Ijegun Championship Cup played over the weekend at Ijegun prayingground, Alimosho,Lagos, Olorunsogo hammered Isokan football team 3-1 in an encounter watched by hundred of football fans.
Akande while speaking with our correspondent said he was happy to have scored three goals against his opponents boasting that Olorunsogo have what it takes to win the championship Cup.
“I am happy that we won this game.It was a tough match for us but i thank God that we came out victorious.We are in this tournament for business not a jamboree.We are not going to stop at the quarter final because our target is to win the tournament,”he said.
Akande thanked his colleagues for their support and extended his appreciation to the fans who are solidly behind the team since competition kicked off.
In his response, Chairman of Olorunsogo, Chief Omotayo Oduntan Akogun expressed happiness with the team’s performance saying that his team can go all the way to win the tournament.
“Our team are very solid and i see them not only in the final but to win the tournament.I must say that Olorunsogo have quality young players who are hungry for success and i must commend our fans who are supporting the team.I also want our fans to come out in large numbers and support the team in their next game,”he said.
In other results, Ijegun central hammered Ajagun 3-0, Ifedapo lost 1-3 to Afurugbin while Irede humbled Ifeloju 4-1 as Prayingfield lost 2-4 to Abanise
