Iheanacho Has Just Opened His Goal Account, Says Middlesbrough Boss

BY JOSEPH ODOEKWU

Middlesbrough boss, Michael Carrick believes that Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho who came on loan to the club has just opened his goal account and will score more after he scored in Boro’s 2-1 win against Oxford on Saturday.

According to Carrick, Kelechi Iheanacho has scored his first of many goals for Middlesbrough.

“He is happy. We are trying to keep the smile off Neto’s face as much as anything! He was delighted too,” Carrick remarked.

“But Kel knows it. He has played at a level, and goals make you feel a bit better, naturally.

“I wasn’t concerned, I knew he would score and hopefully he has got more in him, I am sure he has. It was a massive goal for us.”

‘Boro are very much in contention for a place in the Premier League promotion playoffs as they are level on points with West Bromwich Albion and two points behind fifth-placed Coventry, who ae both within the playoffs bracket

The former Leicester City forward who is on loan from Spanish La Liga side Sevilla has now gotten the backing of the boss to kick on from that first strike.
