Chairman of FC Middlewell of Lagos Island, Raheem Akingbade admitted that he was pained, disappointed and sad when Prince Kazeem Eletu feeders team equalised his team in a recent friendly match played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena popularly known as Onikan Stadium.
Prince Kazeem Eletu came from behind to play 1-1 with Middlewell to end the encounter in stalemate.
Akingbade popularly known as Amalowo who commended his boys for impressive performance said Eletu tactical changes in the second half earned them equalising goal.
“It was an entertaining and exciting friendly game.we came to beat Eletu unfortunately they got their equaliser in the second half. Honestly, I am pained, disappointed and sad for not beating Eletu feeders team,” he said.
Eletu coach, Feyijimi Ikujimi, applauded his boys for their fighting spirit saying that the friendly match lived up to expectations.
“I am aware of the importance of this friendly match.I knew that our opponents came to beat us but they were disappointed for not achieving that.Our target is to develop these young players and promote them to senior team.I am also happy that some players gave a good account of themselves and it was a good outing for us,” he said.
Ibrahim Mohammed scored opening goal for Middle Well FC in the 12th minutes before Bashiru Muhammed equalised for Eletu in the second half.The two teams played purposeful football as fans commended them for the job well done.
