Former Executive Transition Chairman of lkwuano Local Government Council of Abia State, Elder Henry Ukachukwu Nwoha has urged Nigerians to fully participate and ensure our institutions work like in other climes.
The former Adviser to ex-Governor Okezie lkpeazu, specifically pointed at our judiciary, law enforcement agencies, including some political leaders and a whole of others who must pointedly live up to expectations, to make democracy work in all spheres of governance in the country.
Nwoha also enjoined the media to boldly report every aspect of activities happening in the country to the citizenry and the world as a whole.
“Truth remains that the Nigerian press is known for its doggedness, fearless and investigative instincts which spanned pre independent years, therefore, must live up to such dare responsibilities which the society imposed on it even right now in our country,” he pointed out.
Thanks to astute member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, Elder Henry Ukachukwu Nwoha who also served as a member of Campaign Council of Distinguished Senator, Austin Akobundu representing Abia Central in the Upper Legislative Chamber.
He further insists that the media, as the Fourth Estate of Realm should not mind any kind of intimidation from government at all levels while carrying out their duties and ensure the task of accountability is every citizen’s responsibility.
The Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of FACON HENRIZ INTERNATIONAL LIMITED added that emancipation does not come via nonchalant or to sit on the fence rather, it demands patriotism, determination, focus and many a times revolution and round table negotiations.
He warned that government at all levels must be weary of the present alarming hardship in land, bearing in mind that the oppressed and the intimidated populace are in the majority, positing that courage is not absence of fear.
He encouraged the media to stand up to their responsibility in order to help in rescuing Nigeria and Nigerians from the shackles of the present bad governance which bedeviled it.
