Coach of Lagos-based semi-professional side, Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club, Isreal Adegolu has commended his boys for their recent friendly matches saying that the team are getting better in each game.
He said this after Prince Kazeem Eletu FC defeated Utility Sports FC in a friendly match played recently at Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.
Commenting on the match, Adegolu confessed that there has been fast improvement in the team in the last three matches and tasked the players to raise the bar in their next match.
“We played a good team and they gave us a good fight but I am satisfied with the way my boys approached the game from the beginning to the end. It shows that our work on the players is beginning to manifest. If we can continue like this, Prince Kazeem Eletu will be formidable again,” he said.
Aside the victory achieved over his opponents, Adegolu disclosed that his players were determined and showed resilience throughout the encounter which contributed to the success of the club.
He however cautioned the players not to be complacent in the front of goal and urged the strikers to convert their chances during the match.
He, however, thanked the backroom staff for their contributions to the success of the team and assured better outing in their next match.
Utility Sports Coach, Hamzat Olawale Yusuf expressed satisfaction with his team and admitted that their opponents were better and deserved the victory.
Saka Yusuf opened the goal-scoring for the Eletu boys after Favour Daniel missed clear-cut opportunities in the early encounter.
The second half witnessed high intensity and tactical play from the both teams.Kenneth Sesugh gave the homers equaliser to bring the game to parity.
Jude Obasi’s shot from the flank gave the Eletu boys the winning goal in the 78th minute. Eletu had more ball possession than their opponents in the pulsating tie.
Utility Sports equally gave a good account of themselves, but their opponents were too much for them to overcome in the encounter.
