Coach of Ajuwa Football Club, Idowu Akinbote expressed his sadness that his ambition to win Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club for the second time did not come to fulfilment.
Prince Kazeem Eletu boys came from behind to play 3-3 with the visiting team in a friendly match played recently at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena formally known as Onikan Stadium.
Akinboted who was disappointed with the outcome of the result said they came to Eletu homegrund to beat them for the second time unfortunately it ended in stalemate.
“Honestly Eletu boys should thank themselves for securing a draw with us. When they came to our ground last year, we beat them 2-1 but we are here to do the same things unfortunately it ended in stalemate.
“However, we can give it to Eletu for coming from behind and drew us. This is to tell you that Eletu are forced to be reckoned with among the clubs in the state. It was a good match for both teams and produced six goals thrillers in the encounter,” he said.
Eletu team manager, Eletu Muftau expressed disappointment with the team’s performance and outcome of the game.He lamented how the players lose their scoring chances in the first half.
“I am not happy the way and manner our boys approached the game. It was match we supposed to win in the first half but due to the players lack of commitment, we struggled to come from behind to level up. I think the players have learnt their lessons and they should do better in their subsequent matches,” he said.
