Supporters and football fans of various clubs are in anxious moments as their darling teams are preparing for the quarter finals matches in the ongoing Football Fiesta Football Tournament scheduled to commence tomorrow at the Sansan football pitch,Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
In the quarter final fixtures released by the organisers,FC Baku tackle Casamigoos Sport by 2pm, FC Mbah Logistics boys face Future Stars 99 feeders by 4pm.(Thursday)
On Friday, Bucknor FC face Unity FC by 2pm as IGFC take on Sansan Boys by 4pm
Our correspondent who visited the match venue on Tuesday spoke to some football fans and they were looking forward to the quarter matches with high expectations.
While some of them said they were anxious about their team’s opponents, others believe that their darling team have what it takes to go far in the tournament.
Speaking ahead of their match on Friday,IGFC coach, Muhammed Aberejo said their match against Sansan Boys would be tough but boasted that his boys are equal to the task.
“You can see me training my boys on tactical and preparing them for our opponents.My boys have been doing well in the competition and I am very optimistic that they can cause upset comes Friday,”he said.
Sansan Boys Coach,Obayemi Tope expressed confidence in the ability of his boys saying that his boys would be ruthless and merciless on their opponents.
Commenting on the competition, match cordinator,Habeeb Bello urged the teams to avoid soccer violence during and after the game and promised that all the teams would be treated equally.
He, however, thanked the football fans for their support and also extended his appreciation to the members of the organising committee and various committees who have been working round the clock for the success of the competition.
