Five football coaches councils under Ikeja Divisional Football Association (IDFA) have concluded plans to organise a coaching seminar to prepare their members for future challenges.
The five football coaches councils are Alimosho, Ikeja, Agege, Oshodi/Isolo and Mushin.The five councils tagged their forthcoming programme ‘AMIOA Coaches Day’ sheduled to hold on 1,May, 2025 at the Bishop Aggrey School, Mushin, Lagos.
Chairman AMIOA planning committee who doubles as secretary of Oshodi/Isolo Football Coaches Council,Musbau Oseni said the coaching seminar is put together by the five councils to foster relationship among the the members and equip them with modern day football coaching and methodology.
He explained that the five football coaches councils agreed to come together to execute other programmes that would benefit the councils and their members.
“The era of council inviting other councils to witness their programmes is gradually eroding and what the councils under Ikeja west side did was to have a harmonised programmes where all the members from various five councils exchange ideas and work together for the betterment of their various councils.
“This is the first of its kind in Lagos and we are looking forward to the coaching seminar where more than 300 coaches would be in attendance,” he said
Oseni also disclosed that arrangements have been concluded by the five football coaches councils to organise U -15 football competition during the Easter period.
He noted that the U-15 competition is part of AMIOA day and the football tourney would come up at NYSC Camp,Iyana-Ipaja before seminar and urged the leadership of various five football coaches councils to assemble players within the age bracket.
