First-ever Sports Meet Tech Session Holds In Port Harcourt

The organizers of the first-ever sports meet tech session have announced the lineup of speakers and the theme for the session as part of the #StartupSouth Conference.

Leading the speakers will be the keynote speaker Olufemi Adeagbo.

Olufemi Adeagbo is a Law graduate of the University of London. who is currently the CEO of Comnavig ICT Advisers. 

Other notable speakers are Nkechi Obi, Chairwoman of the Nigerian Women’s Football League, Profesor Luis Duaro of INSPER Brazil, Mohammed Elbadry, Chairman CEO of Koras Stats and Kora Stats Hub in Egypt, and Peter K Papadogiannis, Co-Founder, Headset Sports, Toronto SEMI.

The theme of the Sports Meets Tech session is Digital Innovation Opportunities for Nigerian Sports: The Future of Play, Games Sports, and Partnership Imperatives.

The sessions promise to offer a valuable opportunity for the Nigerian sports industry to assess its readiness for the integration and acceptance of tech in sports.

The event will take place on October 6th, 2023 and it will be Hybrid. 

The SportsTech Session which is co-developed and co-managed by Dekaizen and #StartupSouth will feature veterans from the Sports and Technology industry and provide an opportunity for organizations to showcase their solutions. 

The organizers announced their collaboration to host the first-ever Sports Meet Tech Session as part of the flagship #StartupSouth8.

Now in its 8th edition, #StartupSouth Conference is the flagship community event and an annual convening of top founders, stakeholders, and investors within the National & Continental Startup (Digital & Creative Economy) ecosystem which is held in Port Harcourt with Pre-events held in several cities across the South-South/South-East.
