Former Super Eagles player, Friday Ekpo says their return leg against his opponents, FC Akanni football team would be a tough battle but quickly noted that his boys are in good frame of mind to turn the table around.
FC Ekpo lost 2-3 to FC Waheed Akanni at away a week ago but the two teams would clash on Thursday by 12noon for the return leg at the Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle, Lagos.
Ekpo in a chat with our correspondent admitted that the return leg would be a cup final for both side but boasted that he has a solid team that could wreck havoc comes Thursday.
“Honestly the match is a star match of the week considering the performance of the two teams in the first leg.The return leg is going to tactical and technical game.FC Akanni should prepare for tough game because my boys are mentally ready for this crunch tie,”he said.
In his earlier comment, Waheed Akanni who is in charge of FC Akanni team predicted a tough game but remained optimistic that his boys would come out with a positive result.
A winner for both teams would advance to the next round as other teams would play their return leg of round of 32 this week to decide teams that would qualify for the round of 16.
