Dosu Soccer Kids Academy of Agege has rounded off the year in grand style following the end of year party the team management organised for the kids in the outgoing year.
Almost 100 kids ranging from the ages of 5 to15 years were in attendance during the end of the year party which was held recently at the RVTC mini stadium, Isheri Berger, Ojodu, Lagos.
The academy was formed two years ago by ex international and former Leader of Ikeja Football Coaches Council,David Apelete Dosu.
Dosu Soccer Kids Academy is one of the fastest growing football academies not only in Lagos but Nigeria at large.The academy presently has more than 100 registered kids.
The end of year party was well attended by the parents and guardians of the kids.Some coaches and other football stakeholders were invited to witness the kids who entertained the spectators with their skills and football artistry during the football match among the various categories in the academy.
Dosu Soccer Kids U-15 also played a friendly match with Shuffle Select Football Academy which ended one goal apiece at the regulation time.
However Dosu Soccer Kids were commended for their equaliser and brilliant performance put up against their opponents in the encounter watched by mammoth crowd.
Speaking after the football match, founder of the academy,David Dosu who spoke to our correspondent expressed gratitude to God for the progress and successes of the team in the outgoing year.
“I am very grateful to God that the academy is growing fast.I started this academy two years ago with less than five kids but today I have more than 100 kids from ages of 5 to 15 years.
“So far,the academy is well known in Lagos and they have been participating in the state organised football kids tournaments and other high profile football tourneys.I must say that Dosu Soccer Kids Academy has improved tremendously in the outgoing year,”he said.
Dosu disclosed that he intentionally organised end of year party to allow the parents and guardians to see their kids in action and make them feel happy especially during the festive periods.
Certified coaches are employed in Dosu Soccer Kids Academy that are working round the clock to ensure that the kids learn basic of football at their tender age.
