The Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), Hon. Lekan Fatodu is full of gratitude to the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat and other Stakeholders in Lagos sports family for a successful outing at the just concluded U-15 National Youth Games held in Asaba, Delta State.
Team Lagos maintained their second position in the championship in the face of close marking from Team Edo as the state hauled a total of 65 medals which comprise 26 gold, 20 silver and 19 bronze medals.
Fatodu expressed his gratitude to Governor for putting him in charge of sports in the state
“Record-breaking victory, delivering an unprecedented 26 gold medals for Lagos State at the National Youth Games is a truly outstanding achievement.
“I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for giving me this cherished opportunity to serve as the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission and for entrusting me with the responsibility of spearheading the herculean task of talent discovery and development and repositioning sports in Lagos State, with a view to sustaining Sports excellence in the state.
