Organisers of the ongoing Odunmbaku Gold Cup have confirmed the readiness of teams in Ikorodu in the ongoing Odunmbaku Gold Cup.
The competition which started some days ago are playing in various centres in the state.The centres including Ejigbo, Epe, Igando, Abesan and Ikorodu.
Action would resume on Saturday at the Igbogbo Police Barrack football pitch, Ikorodu as Alimi Skills FC face Soccer Jets, Vino Gano battle Glory Boys, while Ayomiposi FC tackle Unizee FC as TCCG confront Circle Range FC in the last match of the day.
Match cordinator, Sulaiman Gbadamosi said the competition has really lived up to expectations as the participating teams gave good account of themselves.
“Some matches have been played at Ejigbo and Igando centres and i am quite impressed with the team’s performance.Let me use this opportunity to commend the match officials in various centres for the job well done and I believe that the best teams would emerge to crucial stage in their various centres,”he said.
In the matches played so far in Ejigbo center, Horobo beat Binnero 1-0, Eagles Assembly defeated Standard FC 4-3 on penalty shootout, Seaman lost 0-1 to Dinimite FC,KJ also defeated Bright Stars 3-2,
At Igando center,Pako FC humbled Adebayo Samba 3-1,IGFC beat GIG Logistics FC 5-4 on penalties, while Kay Properties whipped Ambiance FC 7-1.
