A Lagos-based NLO team, Chekas United Football Club of Amuwo-Odofin have started solid preparations ahead of Lagos State Challenge Cup Nationwide League One, NLO and other high profile football competitions in the coming year.
As part of its preparation,Chekas United have rercuited new players and involve in the ongoing football tournaments in Lagos.
Chairman of the club, Chekwube Uzoegbo Eulick confirmed that his club would begin its campaign in the forthcoming Lagos State Challenge Cup and 2024/25 NLO league season.
He explained that the team have just rercuited new players and he is happy with the progress of the newly rercuited players in the competitions.
“Presently, we are playing Obasa Cup and Atlas Cup which is ongoing and I am happy that both new and old players are doing well.These particular competitions is part of our preparation for next year’s Lagos FA Cup and NLO league,”he said.
Eulick however said players are well motivated and promised to do more if they can go far in the next year’s Lagos FA Cup and get a qualification to NNL playoff.
“My target is to see Chekas United perform well in the next year’s Lagos FA Cup.I know we are new in NLO but if my boys can qualify for NNL playoff and secure a NNL ticket, the players would be handsomely rewarded,” he said.
