The Association of Certified Protocol Practitioners in Nigeria (ACPPN) has congratulated the newly sworn-in Minister of State in the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MFA), Ambassador Bianca Odinakachukwu Olivia Odumegwu-Ojukwu (née Onoh) over her appointment by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The ACPPN, through an official press statement by its Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ambassador Olatutu Oladunni, says the appointment was a round peg in a round hole by the President, adding that Ambassador Bianca-Ojukwu, who was once the Nigerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, has found herself in a familiar terrain at the higher level of national assignment.
The association says the new Nigerian Minister of State in the Foreign Affairs Ministry possessed the qualities that will make her succeed in the office.
In a special commendation by the president of the diplomatic protocol professional body, Hon President Micheal Ikinbor, says: “We believe that the new office will afford her to focus on key inspirations regarding the diaspora to enhance and improve foreign direct investment, and drive foreign affairs.
“We believe that she will be able to come to the side of citizens abroad when needed and protect their interests.”
Meanwhile, members of the association have also reacted positively to the development they noted that her records while she was serving in Madrid as the Nigeria Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain will enable her give Nigerian embassies across the world the best shape and get better services they Alaka deserve.
ACPPN says with her appointment and co-working with the Hon Minister Foreign Affairs, the ministry will experience another special opportunity of growth and progressive leadership and development via beautiful initiatives and team work as they have both served as ambassadors in previous administration. Her Excellency Bianca served as an Ambassador to the kingdom of Spain, while the current Minister served as an Ambassador to Germany. So it is no doubt the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has now been boosted with crops of most dedicated officers that will help the country manage her foreign interests.
“There is no doubt that our new Minister of State will work closely with the Minister of Foreign Affairs to ensure that they work in line with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“THE ACPPN President and the entire Executive Committee commend the choice of President Tinubu by choosing the former Nigerian Beauty Queen and former Ambassador.
“We recognize how she had served as Nigerian Ambassador to the Kingdom to Spain where she brought to life the Nigerian Embassy in Madrid. She made an incredible impact,” the ACPPN President said.
The association therefore urged the federal government to give more productive support and allocation to the Foreign Affairs Ministry in terms of financial budget so that it can be able to give credible funding to Nigerian foreign missions abroad to improve technically and economically and administratively.
