Following the conclusion of the 2025 season for its football subsidiary, the Bright Stars Football Academy (BSFA), the Bright Stars Sports Academy (BSSA) management has announced the expansion of its sporting curriculum to include martial arts classes for interested children and adults.

The decision to introduce martial arts training was confirmed over the weekend in a statement released by the Academy’s Sporting Director, Mr. Franklin Ibojo, via the BSSA Media Channel. Mr. Ibojo cited growing interest and requests from parents as a key factor behind the new initiative.

He emphasized the core values of the program, stating, “Martial arts is not meant to intimidate or oppress people. Its primary purpose is for self-defense and, more importantly, it is a powerful tool for instilling personal discipline and focus in individuals.”

The martial arts sessions will be led by Shian, SENSEI Emmanuel Ayobamidele a 3rd degree black belt in Karate, highly seasoned and respected martial arts instructor with decades of honing experience. “We are confident that the immense wealth of coaching expertise Shihan Ayobamidele brings will profoundly benefit our students,” Ibojo added.

The Academy confirms that details regarding training schedules, session times, and the specific venue will be communicated to the public in due course.
