Coach Solomon Akaeze of Bright Stars Football Academy (BSFA) Satellite Town, Lagos State, has assured teeming fans of the academy as his team face BRB Academy in the knockout round of Badagry Football Association, BDFA Cheekas U-15 Football Tournament, holding at the Agboju Primary School, Agboju, Lagos State.
The football competition is being staged by the Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA) in conjunction with a business mogul to expose budding football stars to greatness.
Coach Akaeze’s team recorded three draws in the group stage to book their place in the knockout stage, and the soccer tactician believes his wards are now unstoppable.
Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s clash against BRB, the Delta State-born grassroots soccer tactician said several changes have been made towards ensuring that the team progress to the next round of the tourney.
He added that he was impressed with the performance of his team, insisting that there is always room for improvement.
Continuing, Coach Akaeze noted that all mistakes made during the group phase have been rectified, promising that a new phase should be expected when they file out Wednesday against their opponents.
In the words of Coach Akaeze: “We struggled during the group stage, but since we are now in the knockout stage, I want to encourage out fans to expect a new-look BSFA. We won’t let our fans and the management down.”
Meanwhile, Sporting Director of BSFA, Franklin Ibojo, has commended the organizers of the football competition for exposing the aspiring football players as it would help the development of grassroots soccer in Lagos State and the country at large.
