BFN Boss, Orbih Hails Abia Govt’s Partnership For International Tourney

The President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) Francis Orbih Esq. has expressed delight following the recent partnership between the Federation and the Abia State Government which will make the South-East state host Nigeria’s first ever international championship in Para-Badminton.

“I must say that we are very excited about this inauguration that clearly demonstrates the Abia State Governor’s commitment to sport development” Orbih started.

“It is not just for Abia State because it is a championship for Nigeria as a whole, and the board of the BFN is excited about the partnership”.

“We are confident that with this level of support, the Abia Championship will be a landmark event well organized, impactful and inspiring to young athletes, we look forward to working with both committees to deliver a world class event’ he concluded.

The Abia Para-Badminton Championship which is expected to be held from September 30th to October 5th will also be followed by the All Africa Para Badminton Championship from October 6 to 12, 2025.
