Organisers of the just concluded Bet9ja Ibeju-Lekki Cup have expressed their profound gratitude to the sponsor, Bet9ja Betting Company, teams and football fans for their support given throughout the competition.
In a press release signed by chairman organising committee, Victor Akinmoyo specially thanked the sponsor for its immense contributions to make the inaugural edition a huge success.
In his statement,he explained that Bet9ja Betting Company has sponsored Ibeju-Lekki Cup and thanked them for their contribution to football development in Ibeju-Lekki and Lagos at large.
“Our Bet9ja Ibeju-Lekki Cup has come and gone but I must express my profound gratitude to our title sponsor,Bet9ja Betting Company for its financial commitment to this competition.
“On behalf of my committee,I am very grateful to them and secondly I cannot forget the participating teams and fans who are very supportive and keep to our rules throughout the competition,”he said.
Akinmoyo who doubles as a Leader of Ibeju-,Lekki Football Coaches Council also extended his appreciation to all the invited guests who took their time to grace the grandfinale.
He particularly thanked the chairman of Lagos State Football Association, LSFA,Hajj Liammed Olawale Gafar and his vice, Adedotun Coker for their support and also mentioned chairman of Lagos State Football Coaches Association, Tairu Hassan and his secretary, Sulaiman Rasheed for their support at the closing ceremony.
Meanwhile in the final played recently, Success FC humbled Noble 5 Star 3-1 to emerge as winners,while Bright Star pip Star To Be Academy 1-0 to win a third place match.
Akinmoyo confirmed to our correspondent that all the winners have received their prize money.
A winners went home with the sum of N500,000, while the second and third position also received the cash of N300,000 and N200,000 respectively.
Akinmoyo however announced that the best coach of the tournament has been given a scholarship to proceed to the coaching course at NIS.
