The organizers stated that Bet9ja Foundation was impressed by the impact and organization of the inaugural edition, leading to their decision to back the second edition with ₦40 million.

This enhanced support will provide a more extensive experience for players, fans, and stakeholders throughout the state and beyond.

Soname graciously accepted the proposal before recommending the initiative to the Bet9ja Foundation. The Executive Director, Gloria Ada Cuomo, and Marketing Manager, Omotola Oronti, embraced the vision of leveraging positive football history to establish a lasting legacy through the Bet9ja Foundation Ex-Internationals Cup.

In response to this development, Hajji Gafar, Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, expressed profound gratitude.
