A word of advice has gone to the clubs that are affiliated with the Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA) to desist from participating in the football tournaments that are not affiliated with the division.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of BDFA, Martins Osondu in a statement that the body is frowned over the football organisers that have lured its members to participate in their football competitions saying that any affiliated coach involve in such competitions would be punished accordingly.
“I wish to inform our coaches, and other football stakeholders that the BDFA is not happy with some football organisers who are not affiliated with us and selling registration forms to affiliated and unaffiliated coaches or clubs to involve in their competitions.
“We the members of BDFA executive want to use this medium that punishment awaits any of our coach that takes part in such unaffiliated competitions and such unaffiliated football organisers would face consequence,”the statement reads.
Osondu however urged the unaffiliated coaches and football organisers to come for their affiliation fees to avoid any embarrassment or delay saying that the body would begin to monitor all the football competitions under his watch and any football organisers fail to do the needful would be sanctioned with immediate effect.
In a related development, BDFA also recognises only Badagry referees society to officiate all football tournaments in its Division and kicked against using refrees that are not a member of the society to officiate competitions or friendly match.
Osondu also observed that there are some referees that are officiated football competitions or friendly matches that are not belong to Badagry referees Society saying that if such referees are caught would be arrested and sanctioned.
