As the days draw nearer for the Bayelsa State Gubernatorial election slated to hold November 11, 2023, fresher and interesting angles are being brought into the electioneering campaigns, particularly, by the supporters and followers of APC candidate Timipre SyIva.
Leading the charge for the victory of Sylva, is foremost sports facility construction expert and illustrious son of Bayelsa State, Chief Ebi Egbe. Originally born in the famous Ajegunle Community in Lagos State, same as the APC gubernatorial candidate Sylva, Egbe fondly known as Moni Love, believes the people of Ajegunle should rally behind the return of the Ajegunle-born politician as governor of the state.
“Every community in Bayelsa State has at lease one or two families that grew up in Ajegunle, including myself and our man Timipreye Sylva,” Ebi Egbe said.
Ajegunle is a most deprived and largely populated community, often described as a mini-Nigeria because of its population made up of virtually every community, town and tribes. It is globally renowned for producing top entertainers, athletes, boxers, footballers, writers, journalists, technocrats, IT experts, business gurus and politicians, who have made remarkable strides in their various fields of human endeavours.
Towards the elections, stakeholders, enthusiasts and politicians in Ajegunle community are working and praying that one of their own, Sylva becomes the governor of Bayelsa State, again.
According to many of the proponents and supporters of the ‘Ajegunle4Sylva’ project, his anticipated victory would be mutually beneficial to the people of Bayelsa and Ajegunle, in terms of social-political, cultural and economic relationships.
