Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA) board led by its chairman, Dr. Osondu Martins Ibegbu paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Ojo Local Government, Honourable Rasulu Olushola Idowu on Thursday morning.

During the visit, the BDFA team presented the Executive Chairman, an Award for Excellence in recognition of his support towards football in Ojo Local Government.

The award ceremony was witnessed by the Local Government treasurer and other council staff.

Speaking after receiving an award, the council boss,Hon Idowu promised and reassured the Badagry Divisional Football Association BDFA of its willingness and desire to continuously support the development of football and others sports in the Ojo Local Government.

“I am delighted to receive this award from BDFA board members.This is to say what I have been doing in area of sports development in the last few months is appreciated by the divisional football ruling body.I strongly believe that this award would spur me to do more on youth and sports development in the council,”he said.

In his own reaction, BDFA Chairman, Osondu assured that similar visit will be extended to all Local Government Chairmen under its jurisdiction which includes, the Badagry LGA, Badagry West LCDA, Olorunda LCDA, Oto Awori LCDA, lba LCDA, Amuwo Odofin LGA, Oriade LCDA, Ajeromi LGA and ifelodun LCDA.

Osondu also called for more synergy and togetherness between the football family and the Government office holders to take the youth away from crime, drugs and other social vices in his own division.

It was more than just a visit as the Badagry Divisional Football Association board led by its chairman, Dr. Osondu Martins Ibegbu paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Ojo Local Government, Hon. Rasulu Olushola Idowu at the Local Government secretariat today, 26th of September 2024.

During the visit, the BDFA team presented the Executive Chairman, an Award for Excellence in recognition of his support towards football in Ojo Local Government. The Award ceremony was witnessed by the Local Government Treasurer.

The meeting was a huge success as the Ojo Local Government Chairman promised and reassured the Badagry Divisional Football Association BDFA of its willingness and desire to continuously support the development of football and others sports in the Ojo Local Government.

Speaking after the meeting, the BDFA Chairman, Dr. Osondu Martins Ibegbu assured that similar visits will be extended to all Local Government Chairmen under its jurisdiction which includes, the Badagry LGA, Badagry West LCDA, Olorunda LCDA, Oto Awori LCDA, lba LCDA, Amuwo Odofin LGA, Oriade LCDA, Ajeromi LGA and ifelodun LCDA.

Furthermore, Dr. Osondu stated that “we need to build more synergy and togetherness between the football family and the Government office holders to take our youth away from Crime, Drugs and other Social vices”. He concluded by commending the Ojo Local Government Chairman who, he said has proven to be a man of the youth with his initiatives and support towards making the youth in Ojo Local Government focus in achieving their Goals in life.
