Former member Lagos State Sports Council Governing Board. Alhaji Azeez Tijani, has been appointed as chairman of the Electoral Committee in the forthcoming elections into Lagos State Football Association.
The decision to appoint Tijani was made at the last Annual General Assembly of Lagos State Football Association which held ealey thiis week at the body secretariat.
Secretary of Lagos FA, Rabiu-Okikioposu confirmed that Tijani was appointed as the chairman of the electoral committee by the congress to conduct the state football association elections scheduled to hold next month.
“Our chairman of electoral committee is Alhaji Azeez Tijani who was a member of Lagos State Sports Council Governing Board. He is trusted, reliable and tested. He is a man of integrity who is ready to do the job without fear of favour,” he said.
Other members of the electoral committee are Barrister Ayo Julius, Barrister Idowu Benson, Barrister Adeleye Kazeem Egungbohun while Akeem Okikioposu serves as statutory secretary.
Alhaji Azeez Tijani had served in various positions in the past. He was the head of the management committee MTN Lagos Street Soccer. He was also a former Chairman Lagos State Football Association Electoral Committee 2011-2015, former member Shooting Federation of Nigeria.
He also attended and participated in several sports management courses and seminars both home and abroad.
Tijani is currently Into a private business in the commodity trading market.
