The Christian Wake Keep held for the late Mrs Abigail Mafiolayomi Oluwafunmilayo Oluwole, nee Idoun Jegede, was a moment of joy for people to pay glowing tributes to a woman who devoted her life to affect people around her.
Held at the St Peter’s African Church, Blessed Parish, Ibido, Oke Koto, Agege, Lagos State, the wake keep for Mrs Oluwole who died at the age of 72 was well attended by people from far and near.
From the clergymen to the church members, families and friends of the Oluwoles, the testimonies that the deceased lived a life well spent were resonated through out the service that lasted within two hours.
To some, the late Mrs Oluwole, who hailed from Arigidi in Akoko North West of Ondo State, was an epitome of love as preach in the Holy Bible that Christian should love their neighbours as themselves, while some saw in her, the Christ-like characters and behaviours that glorified the Christendom and propagate the Gospel for the world to see.
It was not a surprise, however, when her last born, Mrs Laide Omotosho, speaking on behalf of her siblings, told the gathering that her late mother was indeed a mother who saw Christ before she died.
According to Mrs Omotosho, her late mother was a selfless woman who sacrificed a lot for her children to live, adding that the late Mrs Oluwole has laid a legacy within the family that would stand the test of time.
Independent News Express reports that a funeral service has been scheduled for the St Peter’s Blessed Parish on Friday, while the late Mrs Oluwole would be buried and committed to mother earth immediately after the service.
