*Holds Mentorship, Basketball Drills, Life Skills With Over 100 Girls

As the world celebrates the International Women’s Day on 8 March 2024, the Asisat Oshoala Foundation/Academy used the frenzy of the global event to partner the New Era Foundation owned by the First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu to teach over 100 girls in Lagos the basics of basketball, mentorship, life skill education and core values.

The event was handled by some top basketball coaches to mark the International Women’s Day in Lagos.

However, both foundations will on the 29th of March kickoff the first phase of School Project which is a total sports and education programme for the girl child at the New Era Foundation camp in Lagos.

The collaboration with Asisat Foundation and New Era Foundation underscores the shared vision and values that drive this initiative.

Asisat Oshoala, founder of AOA, expresses her enthusiasm for the partnership: “Working New Era Foundation allows us to combine our strengths and resources, amplifying our impact on the lives of these young girls. Together, we aim to build a brighter future for the Nigerian girl-child.”

The New Era Foundation’s vision echoes the sentiment, stating that, “Our foundation has a long-standing commitment to youth development, and this partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to inspire, encourage the Nigerian girl child .”
