Chairman of All Nigeria Conference of Principals Of Secondary Schools (ANCPSS) Gombe Chapter, Abubakar Sodiq Sulaiman has thrown his weight to the state Principals Cup which begins on Tuesday at the Patanmi Stadium, Gombe State.
Government Day Secondary School would face Savannah Group of School in the opening match on Tuesday by 9:00am at the stadium.
Abubakar, while speaking at the draws held on Monday at the Government Science Secondary School, admonished all secondary school principals in Gombe to attend the opening match scheduled for Tuesday and give the tournament their total support.
“I want to commend Alhaji Ahmed Gara Gombe for his support on Gombe Principal’s Cup and ANCOPSS is fully behind the competition, and I am using this opportunity to call on school principals in the state to come to stadium and cheer the two schools to victory,”he said.
While commended Gara Gombe who is the General Director of the principal cup for his support, Abubakar also urged the students to be a good ambassadors of their schools throughout the five days inter school football competition.
Some of the game masters who spoke to our correspondent expressed their readiness for the tournament and urged the organising committee to give every school level playground.
