Amos Adamu Accepts Grand Patron Role For Samuel Okwaraji U-16 Football Championship

Former Director-General of the Nigerian National Sports Commission, Dr. Amos Adamu, has accepted the role of Grand Patron for the Samuel Okwaraji Under-16 Annual All Nigeria Secondary School Football Championship.

During a courtesy visit by the Samuel Okwaraji Foundation to his residence in Abuja, Dr. Adamu praised the legacy of the late Samuel Okwaraji, highlighting his sacrifice for Nigerian football and sports development.

While commiting to the project, Dr. Adamu pledged full support to the foundation’s mission, emphasizing the need for government and corporate organizations to back grassroots sports initiative.

The championship aims to preserve Okwaraji’s legacy and provide a platform for young talents to shine in Nigerian football. The tournament is expected to feature secondary schools from across Nigeria, culminating in a grand finale in Abuja.

In attendance were former Super Eagles Coach and Player, Samson Siasia, former Captain of First Bank Basketball Team, Stella Agu, Dr. Okechukwu Duru, Secretary of the Samuel Okwaraji Foundation Chidozie Achonwa.
