Coach of B United Football Club of Alimosho Lagos, Azeez Badiru said he has dedicated the award of excellence received from the Alimosho Football Coaches Council to his players and fans who gave them their support during the 2024 U-15 Seamoriow Championship.
Alimosho Football Coaches Day was put together by Alimosho Football Coaches Council under the leadership of Samuel Uchenna Eke as part of the council programme to herald the commencement of events of 2025.
Among the coaches who received the award are Isaac Jegede. He won a gold medal for Lthe agos State University LASU female football team at the last All African University Games held in Lagos.
Coach Badiru Azeez is another awardee. Badiru was honoured with an award after he won the Seamoriow U-15 Championship last year.
Another awardee, Coach Oku Edem Oku received an award for his dedicated service during the Alimosho Football Coaches Council Championship last year.
Coach Taiwo Adejuyigbe was also honoured for his support to the council in the last few years.
Badiru told our correspondent that without God and his players, the award would not have been possible.
He commended his players for their commitment to the club saying that the award was dedicated to the B United Football Academy and entire staff.
“Let me thank Alimosho Football Coaches Council for counting me worthy to be an awardee. This award is a motivation for me and it would make the team work hard in the year 2025.
“I am using this opportunity to dedicate this award to my players for their brilliant effort at the last U-15 Seamoriow Championship and I also dedicated this award to our fans who always pray and support us in all our football tournaments in the year 2024,” he said.
Badiru however thanked chairman Seamoriow FC, Pastor Seyi Amos for giving his team to participate in last year’s U-15 Seamoriow Championship.
He also extended his appreciation to the vice chairman of the Lagos State Football Association LSFA, Dotun Coker and the chairman of the Badagry Divisional Football Association, BDFA, Martins Osondu for their encouragement to achieve success last year.
