Executive members of Alimosho Football Coaches Council have concluded plan to organise U-16 Alimosho Football League scheduled to kick off next month.
Leader of the council, Samuel Uchenna Eke said that plans are on the way to organise first ever U-16 football league and urged the football academies in Lagos to come for their registration forms.
He explained that the league is designed to allow the football academy owners to involve their wards in the league format saying that the league would help the young footballers to keep fit and strong ahead of future challenges.
“This is the first of its kind in Alimosho and its environs.Many academies are showing interest and we still need more teams to involve because we want to make this year’s edition a memorable one.I am happy that the league management commiittee is working hard to ensure that everything has been put in place in terms of logistics before the kick-off,”he said.
Eke said interested club owners are expected to register their academies with the sum of N40,000 for registration form before the closing date.
He however disclosed that commiittee is not ready to extend the deadline date and urged the other club owners to use this league to showcase their young footballers to the world.
The registration form would close in 15, July, while the league will be played in home and away format.
