BY SUNDAY AKINTOYE

As the 2024/25 Lagos Divisional Football League begins on Thursday at the Maracana Stadium,Ajegunle, head coach of Honour Football Club of Oshodi, Daniel Ibezim has assured good outings.

Ibezim said this, while chatting with our correspondent on Tuesday that his team have fully prepared and ready for the much anticiped league.

“We have been preparing for the League. This is our fourth seasons in the league and we hope to have a good outing.

“We have seven matches to play this season in the group phase and our goal is to ensure that the boys have a good performance in every match and win a minimum of 3 matches which is possible”he said.

Ibezim who doubles as the club founder wished and prayed that by the end of the season some of his players would be in Europe for trials.

“By the grace of God, I believe that some of my players would be able to leave the shores of the country after this season,”he said.

Commenting on the match venue for the league, Ibezim thumbed up on the organisers by adopting Maracana Stadium for all league matches

“I am very happy for the match venue which is Maracana Stadium. It is where many players are discovered by scouts and agents so the choice of the venue is a good one by the league management and I applaud them for that,”he said.

Meanwhile, Honour FC would begin its campaign against JS Sport FA on July 1 by noon. The opening match would be held on Thursday between Mojisola FA against Ikorodu City Academy by 2pm.
