Ahead BDFA Round Of 16: Alaska Boss Reacts After His Team Concede Late Equaliser

Chairman Alaska Football Club, Timi Emmanuel expressed displeasure over his players for allowing their opponents got equaliser at the added time during a friendly match held on Wednesday in preparation for the round of 16 Badagry Divisional Football League.

Alaska played 1-1 with Lens Jan FC in a friendly match held at the Odion Ighalo football pitch, Ajegunle, Lagos.

The friendly match was organised to prepare Alaska players keep fit ahead of round of 16 in the ongoing Badagry Football League.

Alaska would face tough opponents, Power of The Cross FC in the round of 16 sheduled to kick off on August at the DVC Barrack playground,Volks Bus Stop, Badagry Expressway, Lagos.

Reacting to the friendly match, Emmanuel said his boys need to work hard if they want to go far in the Badagry League.He revealed that his boys failed to play to coach instructions which denied them victory over their opponents.

“My boys started well but failed to finish well. we had many scoring chances to bury the game but we were not clinical in the front of goal.

“I must also commend them for giving their opponents a run for their money throughout the tie.We had the control of the ball, we played them but we were not hungry in the goal scoring.

“I think our attack needs to be strengthen before our next league match.We need to take our chances and if we continue missing our scoring chances, it might cost us in the league.

“Our friendly match was an eye opener for me as a coach and i need to start working on my attack before our next league match “said Emmanuel who doubles as Chief Coach of the club.

Meanwhile Balogun Basit opened goal scoring for Alaska in the early second half but a last minute equaliser from Joseph Ejeh was Lens Jan FC needed to deny their opponents victory in a friendly match watched by mammoth crowd.
