As the countdown to February 17, 2024 gubernatorial primaries of All Progressive Congress in Edo State begins, a top aspirant, Engineer Omoregie Igiehon has assured Edo citizens of his commitment to total development of the state if he emerge victorious at the APC primaries and eventually triumphed at the general election.
A seasoned Engineer whose educational career sarted in Government Technical College in Ajegunle, Ilaro, Ogun State before further trainings in the United States of America, Igiehon stated that he understands the terrain of the state, and what is required to move the state forward, thus ensuring total development across the nook and crannies of Edo state.
“I want to assure my good people of Edo State that I will work round the clock to ensure that key areas of Health, Education, Water and Roads are are well taken care of across the state, in addition to making them enjoy all dividends of democracy which hitherto has been lacking in the state”. The Oredo local Government – born Igiehon said.
The candidate who also assure all members of APC in Edo state of a government that will make them proud, added that all members across the wards will be fully involved in an all-inclusive government which will see Wards coming up with collective suggestions on the way forward in the development plan that will give priority to rural infrastructural development.
Lending credence to Engineer Igiehon’s competence and leadership qualities is the former Chairman of All Progressive Congress, Chief Bisi Akande who attested to the fact that the party is considering him in view of his visionary plan and mission towards development of Edo State.
Also attesting to Engineer Igiehon’s focus, tenacity and preparedness for the task of governing Edo State is Chief Samson Kumolu, a Lagos based entrepreneur who acknowledged serving on the Board Whitegate Group, a Nigerian logistics services company with him.
“Igiehon is a top strategist who is always several steps ahead. Despite living in the United States, his input in the running of Whitegate was legendary, I see him ruling and taking Edo State to a greater level”.
Igiehon stands a very good chance in the primaries, in view of the enormous support and backing he has been receiving from party leaders and his foray into the wards and tye grassroots where a significant number of delegates are already queuing behind him ahead of the primaries.
