This is not the best of time for the coaching crew of Victory Future Stars Football Academy after suffering 0-8 in their second game of the ongoing U-15 Agege youth tournament taking place in Lagos.
Victory Future Stars lost wide margin to Arewa Warriors in their second game over the weekend at the Abesan Sports center, Ipaja, Alimosho, Lagos.
The battling club who paraded youngest players in the competition initially lost 0-3 to Ceyort Academy in their opening match.
The two consecutive defeats has confirmed the team’s early exit in the competition.
Meanwhile only Agege Sports Club have booked their place in the quarter final after winning their two matches.
Agege Sports Club defeated Ultimate Stars 3-1 and qualified for the quarter final.In other results Shuffle Select humbled Soccer Plus E 2-0, while Invisible United Football Academy thrashed Royalty Football Academy 1998 4-0.
Actions resume this Saturday at the Harmony football pitch, Ipaja as St World face Ultimate Stars by 10am, while Ceyorts tackle Arewa Warriors by 11am.
Peace FA confront Royalty 1998 by 12 noon as Shuffle Academy battle Little United by 1pm.
Match cordinator, Olumide Ajayi said the competition has lived up to expections saying that the purpose of the tourney is to develop the players and bring some football academies to the limelight.
He however applauded the participants for their spirit of sportsmanship exhibited since the tourney started and admonished them to always abide by the rules and regulations.
