After Winning Silver At NDSF Games, Glory Dreams of Gold At Gateway 2025 Games

Rivers State amputee athlete, John Glory, who recently won silver in the just concluded maiden edition of the Niger Delta Sports Festival (NDSF) has started dreaming of winning gold when the National Sports Festival kicks off in Abeokuta, Ogun State next month.

The ever determined and smiling athlete who is also into other field events such as javelin, shot put and also plays amputee football expressed joy after winning what she will best describe as her first ever medal in an event during the NDSF games.

“I was very happy to have won the silver medal in Uyo” a delighted Glory told our correspondent.

“It’s my first ever medal and I need to build on it now and begin to work hard so I can move to the next level during the National Sports Festival which comes up in Ogun State next month” she added.

“Although, we received the medals late in the night, I really had no time to take pictures with it, but I feel very happy, that I have won this medal and it’s very significant to me” she insisted.

John Glory who won silver in field events of Shot Put throw will be among the hundreds of athletes who will storm Ogun State next month to justle for medals to equip her cabinet at the national event.

She will also be looking forward to representing Nigeria in continental and global events and will be hoping that such opportunity will come soon.
