Africano FC of Brazil’s Ambassador to Nigeria Rev. (Amb) Samuel Ikpea has described the Africano FC, Nigeria project, as another source of rebranding Nigeria’s football image in the international scene.
Ikpea disclosed this at the National Institute for Sport (NIS) pitch inside the national stadium in Surulere, Lagos during the Day One of the ongoing screening of the team.
“I can see future stars here” Ikea started. “They represent the rich raw talents which Nigeria is known for in football and sports, and I believe that they shall give Nigeria a good image when the team is finally selected”.
“The players who are participating in this screening have not just shown talents, they have also shown commitment and determination “.
“Some travelled all the way from states outside Lagos, and this shows they are committed “. “I am sure that their efforts will pay off as far as they obey directives and instructions “.
About hundreds of young talents came in to the NIS pitch today for the Open Screening, with officials giving attention to all players and ensuring that the best are selected.
The exercise continues on Wednesday by 9am at the same venue, with hopes that more players who will be taking part will join for the screening.
