Some Ghanian journalists who are covering African Games have tipped her Black Princess of Ghana U-20 to beat the Super Falconets when both teams clash in the final of All African Games female football event scheduled for Friday.
In the semi final matches played on Monday evening at the Cape Coast, Nigeria beat Uganda 2-0, while host Ghana walloped Senegal 3-1 to reach the final.
Our correspondent who chatted with Ghanaian journalists to know their thought about the two teams in final expressed confidence that Ghana would claim the gold in football event.
In his own remark, Abedenego Coledotman admitted that the final would be epic and assured Ghanaians victory over Nigeria.
“It is going to be a tough final. Nigeria and Ghana are rivals when it comes to football and it is going to be a difficult match for Nigeria. I watched some Ghanaian matches and I am impressed with their current form.Honestly the match would be difficult for both teams but I see Ghana triumph,”he said.
In his own comment, Linus Nantey also predicted tough match for Nigeria saying that Ghana cannot afford to lose the gold for their opponents.
Nsoh Mensah said Nigerians should forget the gold boasting that Ghana has deadly player like Ofilia ready to wreck havoc.
“Our team are in good form and their performance against Senegal showed that they can beat Nigeria in final. My prediction scoreline is 2-0 in favour of Ghana,”he said.
While Davis Clottey admitted the country is not doing well on the medal table, but noted that they would do everything to win gold in football to make Ghanaians happy.
“I have the opportunity to watch some Ghanian matches and what I saw really impressed me.Concerning the match against Nigeria in final, it is a battle to the finish for both side but I see Ghana come out victorious at the end of the match,”he said.
David Appiah, who is passionate about Ghanian football, strongly believes that his country would shock Nigeria.
A Nigerian journalist, Joseph Odoekwu said Nigeria has arrays of stars in the team.He said he is not worried about Ghanian Journalists comments and urged super falconets to rise to occasion comes on Friday.
