Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu has commended Team Nigeria for their superlative performance at the ongoing African Games and urged them to remain steadfast and focused in their remaining sporting events.
Nigeria is still maintaining second position on the table with 29 gold, 21 silver and 31 bronze trailing behind Egypt who occupy first position with 92 gold, 40 silver and 32 bronze.
Shaibu in a chat with our correspondent said he came to see Team Nigeria how they perform at the ongoing African Games and commended them for the job well done.
Commenting on Nigeria and Ghana final match on female football event scheduled for Friday, he said the women football in Nigeria has come of age and remained optimistic of gold in football event.
