Nigerian sprint icon, Tobi Amusan has retained her title after she emerged as winner of the Women’s 100m hurdles final.
Amusan ran 12.89 to beat other contestants in the race which was kneely contested at the University of Ghana Sport Stadium.
Meanwhile Two-time African Championships bronze medalist, Okezie Chidi Anthony, ran a personal best of 45.06 seconds in 400m to emerge victorious and claim gold medal for Nigeria in the men’s 400m final at the 2023 African Games.
20-year-old Zambian, Samukonga Muzala, finished second with a time of 45.37 seconds, while Senegal’s Diouf Cheikh Tidiane secured third place in 45.49 seconds, earning the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Also Esther Joseph also won silver medal in women’s 400m final, Esther Joseph won silver medal to add more medals for Nigeria on the table.
