Bucknor U-16 Football Academy on Friday suffered another 1-3 home defeat in the hands of group leaders, Fit2live 99 Academy in the week 12 of the Alimosho football coaches’ council U-16 Junior league.
Although Fit2Live 99 just needed a draw against Bucknor to win the league, fortunately they inflicted more pains on the home team in the encounter watched by the league match officials.
With this victory, Fit2Live 99 have 34 points on the table, while B-United occupy second position with 23 points.
Bucknor who suffered two home defeats recently are in the fifth position with 13 points.
Despite the fact that all the teams still have three matches to conclude the league, Fit2Live 99 were officially announced as the league winners.
In a statement issued by league cordinator, Toyin Koya Shoyemi congratulated Fit2Live 99 for its commitment and dedication from the beginning of the league saying that the academy is still maintaining unbeaten run till it won the league.
“On behalf of Alimosho U- 16 Junior League Committee,I congratulate the entire management and players of Fit2live 99 Under 16 for their performance in the league.They did not only win the league but they maintained unbeaten record since the league started and I wish the whole team more successful outings in years to come,”the statement reads.
In other results, Ola Stars hammered Divine FA 4-1, while Sammy drew 2-2 with B-United at home.
