White Soccer Temple Academy against all odds emerged as winners of the just concluded U-14 Alimosho Football Coaches Council football tourney which was held on Tuesday evening at the Seamoriow Sports center,Abaranje Road, Alimosho, Lagos.
The pulsating encounter could not produce goal as White Soccer Temple boys and Samjason Football Academy ended the encounter in a goalless draw at the regulation time.
During the penalty shootout, White Soccer Temple won the penalties on 4-2 to emerge as the champions of the category.
Coach of the winning team, Gbenga Oluwole boasted that his boys were better and deserved to be crowned as champions.He described the final a tough one and congratulated his boys for the job well done.
“This is best moment of my boys.They were good and determined to win this tourney which they eventually achieved.I commend them for their commitment and tactical discipline showed throughout the tournament and i believe that the victory was well deserved,” he said.
In U-12 category, Pro Foot emerged as champions after defeating Sammy 3-0 in the final phase group.A 2-2 draw between IGFC and Samjason in other match gave Pro Foot to top the table with 5 points and became champions of the group.
Among the invited guests that graced the U-14 grand finale are executive members of Agege Football Coaches Council, Ikeja Football Coaches Council and other football club owners and top referees in Alimosho.
Meanwhile Leader of Alimosho Football Coaches Council, Samuel Uchenna Eke thanked the invited guests for honouring their invitations and congratulated the winners in various categories for their historic win.
