In a bold declaration that exposes the failure, emptiness, and lack of vision of the ruling and opposition parties in Osun State, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced plans to employ 50,000 youths within the first 100 days of assuming office in 2026.
Speaking in Osogbo, the Osun State Youth Leader of ADC, Comrade Yahaya Majeed, stated unequivocally that while other parties trade blame, recycle old faces, and waste public funds, ADC is presenting clear, measurable, and people-driven solutions.
According to him, the ADC governorship candidate, Dr. Najeem Salami (Iwaloye), represents a clean break from years of failed promises, inflated contracts, and jobless governance that have kept Osun youths trapped in poverty.
“Let us be honest with ourselves,” Majeed said. “For years, the same parties have rotated power, yet unemployment has grown, hunger has deepened, and hope has disappeared. They build roads that enrich contractors, not people. They govern for elites, not citizens.”
He reminded Osun people that results—not propaganda—define leadership, citing former Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s OYES scheme as proof that employment promises can be fulfilled when leaders are serious.
“Aregbesola promised 20,000 jobs and delivered in less than 100 days. What excuse do today’s leaders have? Dr. Najeem Salami will not only match that record—he will surpass it with 50,000 jobs. That is the difference between leadership and lip service.”
Comrade Majeed accused rival parties of weaponizing poverty, deliberately keeping youths unemployed so they can be used during elections and abandoned afterward.
“They remember youths only during campaigns. ADC believes youths should be empowered, not exploited. Jobs are not favors—they are rights.”
He stressed that governance is not about noise, billboards, or social media propaganda, but about putting money in people’s pockets, restoring dignity to families, and securing the future of Osun State.
“Osun cannot afford another four years of excuses. We cannot recycle failure and expect progress. The choice before the people is clear: continue with parties that have failed repeatedly, or choose ADC—a party ready to govern from day one.”
He concluded with a strong call to action:
“November 2026 is a referendum on failure versus future. ADC and Dr. Najeem Salami offer jobs, hope, and real change. Osun people must decide whether to remain trapped in the past or move boldly into a future that works for everyone.”
