U-13 NADIS Cup: Screening Exercise Begin Saturday As Organisers Confirm Payment Of Registration For Ten Teams

Organisers of the forthcoming U-13 NADIS Cup have said the screening exercise would commence on 10th 11th,16th and 17th,October, 2026 at the proposed palace playground,,Igando,Alimosho,Lagos.

The tournament would kick off later in the month at the proposed palace playground, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.

Organisers announced that the screening exercise would hold from 9am till 4pm at the designated center. The four day screening exercise would allow the organisers to do a thorough screening for the players that would represent their various academies in a tournament being organised by Igando Football Club, IGFC.

Chairman Technical Committee, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamonsi stated that the screening exercise would be conducted in four days saying that Intrested club owners or coaches are expected to bring their players within the stipulated days.

A total of 16 football academies in Lagos are expected to participate in the tournament sponsored by NADIS Exchange under the leadership of Nmandi Bonaventure.

The draws according to the organisers would hold on 17th,October,2026 by 4pm at the Igando proposed palace playground, Alimosho, Lagos.

In his own comment, tournament coordinator, Habeeb Bello announced that facial look and weight measurement would be used to select the players during the screening exercise.

The committee agreed that the official weight for the players is 40kg, while goalkeepers would be 45kg.They also agreed that only players that meet the requirements are eligible to participate in the tournament.

The organisers insisted that interested clubs are expected to register 14 players and two goal keepers as well as two officials as members of the team.

Gbadamonsi said ten teams have confirmed their pavement of registration saying only six slots available to complete 16 teams targeted by the organisers.

“Presently we have seen ten teams that have completed their registration fees. I am happy that teams from far and near are registered with us. We can only accommodate six teams to complete the numbers and we are looking f this weekend to see the remaining teams, “he said.

Commenting on the registration fees,tournament coordinator,Bello revealed that interested clubs are expected to register with a sum of N20, 000.

Winners of the tournament would go home with a sum of N200, 000 and a giant trophy including medals, while the first runner up would receive a sum of N100, 000.

The main purpose of the tournament according to the organisers is to give the kids who are within the age bracket an ample opportunity to showcase their natural talents and also allow the club owners or coaches to use this tournament to identify the talents and bring them to the limelight
